February Product Update – New Mobile App and Clip Sharing Capabilities!
Creating powerful solutions is what Rhombus is all about. One feature that customers love about Rhombus is the ability to remotely manage their security without setting up any additional infrastructure. Traditional video security systems don’t allow for remote access, and users are often tied to a desktop PC reviewing video feeds. As you know, this method is outdated and no longer aligns with how modern organizations want to handle their physical security.
We know how important it is for you to receive a great on-the-go experience. To continue this theme, we’ve just expanded the Rhombus Mobile App and clip sharing capabilities to ensure you receive even more value from your system. Check out the latest updates below!
Rhombus Mobile App Updates – Region Search, Player Controls, and More
From within the mobile app, you can now easily search within a region just like you can do from the web console. Simply click on the new action button (blue button), select Region Search, and then highlight the region you want to search. Rhombus will then automatically investigate past footage to show when movement occurred in that specific region. It’s that easy!
We also added player controls to both the portrait view and landscape view to make jumping from one event to the next a piece of cake.
Share Clips or Streams with Automatic Expirations
In our last product update, we included the ability to share clips via SMS. Now, in both the web console and mobile app, you can set optional expiration dates when sharing any clip or video stream. This enables you to have more control over how long a piece of content can be viewed, allowing you to get granular with how a video clip is shared.

We hope you enjoyed this month’s updates! Try them out and let us know if you have any questions, comments, or feedback. As always, thank you so much for your continued support.
