Rhombus Relay and Rhombus Console

At Rhombus, we know that the physical security needs of any organization are not one size fits all. It is our mission to ensure that customers have a seamless way to ensure the safety and security of people, assets, and spaces.

Today, thousands of organizations are using Rhombus cloud-managed platform to enhance security operations, improve safety protocols, and streamline workflows. They are achieving their security and operational goals from a single pane of glass that includes cloud cameras, access control, IoT sensors, alarm monitoring and integrations with their most important tools and workflows. Customers want the choice to build the physical security system that works best for them. However, for some organizations, budget constraints, staffing, or installation timelines can create issues in fully migrating to Rhombus cloud cameras all at one time.

To help customers make adoption effortless with Rhombus, we are thrilled to announce the launch of Rhombus Relay: your bridge to cloud-managed physical security.

With Relay, customers have the flexibility to migrate to Rhombus with their existing cameras. This allows customers to gain the immediate benefits of the Rhombus cloud-managed platform while migrating their cameras over time. Some organizations may be using legacy cameras but want to move to a more interoperable cloud platform. Other organizations may want a single pane of glass for their cameras, access control, IoT sensors, alarm monitoring and internal workflows. Relay provides flexibility for customers to choose what is best for them.

Two Flexible Paths to Cloud Migration

Rhombus Relay makes transitioning to the cloud easier than ever. With two options - Relay Core (N100) and Relay Lite - customers have the choice of how to elevate their physical security operations with their existing cameras and Rhombus' cloud-managed platform.

Relay Core: Transform Yesterday's Cameras into Tomorrow's Intelligence

Rhombus Relay Core N100

Relay Core turns existing cameras into smart cameras. With plug-and-play setup, third-party cameras are supported through an on-premise device and connected in seconds. The compact, mini-PC form factor of the N100 product makes it easy to install in virtually any environment, allowing organizations to quickly transform their existing camera infrastructure without major hardware overhauls.

Every camera connected through Relay Core has the option for Rhombus AI Analytics including License Plate Recognition, Facial Recognition, Color Search, and Visitor Counting. This allows customers to gain all the benefits of the Rhombus cloud-managed platform with your existing cameras. Relay Core delivers a single pane of glass for existing hardware and provides a flexible way to migrate to Rhombus.

Relay Core N100 supports up to 10 cameras per device with up to 20 days of storage per camera. All existing cameras are easily visible in Rhombus Console alongside Rhombus cameras, creating a unified view for all cameras. The system securely connects your legacy cameras to the cloud, enabling remote access, AI-powered analytics, and centralized management—all through the same Rhombus platform you already know and trust.

Coming soon is Relay Core N500 that supports up to 50 cameras per device in a rack mount configuration to ensure the largest camera deployments can be supported.

Relay Lite: The No-Hardware Bridge to Existing Cameras for Extended Visibility

Relay Lite opens a new, disruptive approach to consolidate visibility across facilities – all that's needed is a Rhombus camera. Relay Lite is a great option for customers who want to increase their coverage and gain more visibility with their current cameras.

Relay Lite supports integration of one third-party camera to one Rhombus camera. In seconds, a Rhombus camera and a third-party on the same network will be identified and integrated into the Rhombus Console. It's that simple. To help customers achieve their security goals faster, there is no additional cost for Relay Lite.

Rhombus Relay Core N100 and Relay Lite will be available in Early Access on April 8, 2025, with the Relay Core N500 to follow in the coming weeks.

A Platform that's Built to Protect and Designed to Adapt

With Relay, organizations can:

  • Gain the advantages of a best-in-class cloud-managed platform with their existing cameras
