Introducing the Rhombus DC10 Single-Door Controller

Rhombus is excited to announce the release of a new door controller option to suit the needs of sites that need to secure only a single door, such as offices, retail storefronts, small gyms, or warehouse doors far away from any other exit or entrance.

Built on feedback from customers and partners, the new DC10 single-door controller gives you more flexibility to match hardware to each site and keep project costs in line with what the job requires. 

Meet the DC10 Single-Door Controller 

The DC10 connects a single door to the Rhombus Access Control and Security Platform. It also works as a hub for Rhombus Smart Sensors and Panic Buttons. It pairs enterprise-grade scalability with a compact design built for the tightest spaces, so you get full cloud-based access control without the complexity.

Built for Tight Spaces 

The DC10 is purpose-built for single-door installs, so you only pay for the capacity you need. Its compact, discreet design fits where larger controllers can’t. You can mount it on a wall or ceiling, or in plenum spaces above air handling areas in drop ceilings thanks to it’s UL 2043 rating. Additionally, the DC10 has an IK08 impact rating, so it can hold up to knocks in tight, high-traffic areas. 

Easy to Install 

The open-bottom cable access lets wiring route over the controller and tuck neatly under retention tabs, which makes for a clean, fast install. With 90 W PoE++, a single cable delivers full power and connectivity, with the ability to pass both through to a nearby camera too. Setting up the DC10 is fast and easy with built-in BLE for mobile registration. 

Turn Doors into Smart Sensor Hubs 

The DC10 does more than control a door. Its built-in BLE connectivity lets it act as a hub for Rhombus environmental sensors, door and window intrusion sensors, motion sensors, panic buttons, and other select sensors within 100 m line-of-sight, so you don’t need a separate hub.  

Reliable Cloud Management 

With both Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity, the DC10 connects to the Rhombus cloud and keeps operating during network outages. You can manage doors from your phone or computer wherever you are, with no on-site server required. Lockdown support lets you secure entrances instantly from anywhere in the world. 

How the DC10 Works with the Rhombus Platform 

The DC10 plugs into the same Rhombus Platform that manages your cameras, sensors, and other access control hardware. That means one console for everything. It supports up to two readers, including Rhombus Readers and third-party certified (Wiegand or RS-485/OSDP), so it fits into existing deployments. It also includes one dry AUX relay for devices like low-voltage sounders, strobes, or external alarm panels. 

Because the DC10 and DC20 run on the same platform, you can mix them across a site. Use the DC20 where several doors sit close together, and the DC10 for standalone or isolated entrances. Everything can be managed side by side in the Rhombus Console. 

Where the DC10 Fits Best 

The DC10 is ideal for: 

• Buildings with one door, where a multi-door controller would not be needed 
• Offices, retail stores, restaurants, and small gyms 
• Buildings with no mechanical room or network closet 
• Isolated entrances, such as warehouses or large sites where doors are too far apart for a single DC20 (cable runs beyond 300 ft) 
• Older or retrofit buildings, where running new cable is difficult or costly 

For rooms with more than one door, the DC20 is usually more economical. The DC10 is rated for indoor installation only.

The DC10 Single-Door Controller is available starting September 29 in the US, Canada, EU, UK, Australia, and New Zealand, with an MSRP of $799. It comes backed with a 10-year warranty.
